1.The summer festival in Japan with the experience of tea ceremony and making Kyoto confectionery

The summer festival in Japan at the convention venue.

You can taste the light snacks such as shaved ice, cotton candy and so on and also can enjoy the games. You can also experience making Kyoto confectionery and tea ceremony.

The participants from overseas can wear the yukata(summer kimono) to enjoy the festival more.(with no extra charge, 100 participants maximum)

2.Theatergoing of the Kyoto traditional art Noh play

As a classical art representing Japan, Noh play is highly evaluated both domestically and internationally.You will enjoy watching the Noh play with the guidance of the history of Noh play by Soichiro Hayashi of Kyoto Kanze school which started in 1625 of Edo period.

3. World Heritage Site of Arashiyama Tenryu-ji Temple, and the trolley train

In Tenryu-ji temple built in 1339 by distinguished priest Musou Soseki, is the famous Japanese garden of the Middle Ages, a reason why registered as a World Heritage Site.

Enjoy the refreshing view of 20 minutes from the nostalgic trolley train running along Hozu-River Valley from Arashiyama.

4. World Heritage Site of Mt. Hiei Enryakuji Temple, and Zen meditation experience

Enryakuji Temple built in 788 is an important temple for Japanese Buddhism, and has many cultural remains such as Komponchudo, the national treasure. You can also experience Zen meditation.

Lake Biwa, the greatest lake in Japan can be seen from the top of Mt. Hiei.

5. World Heritage Site of Uji Byodo-in Temple and Uji tea experience

Uji Byodo-in temple is located in the south of Kyoto and registered as a World Heritage Site as the cultural assets of ancient city, Kyoto.

Recently, national treasure Phoenix Hall was renovated for the first time in 56 years. Many cultural remains are nearby and you can enjoy taking a walk around.

Moreover, you can learn how to enjoy Uji tea which is the first- rank Japanese tea.

6. The sake museum in Fushimi, and the Terada-ya visit

Gekkeikan Sake Company, LTD. is one of the oldest sake brewers in Kyoto.

The museum has exhibits related to sake brewing with superb visual display.

Sake tasting and souvenir shopping are also available.

You can also look around the old castle town of Fushimi and visit the famous boathouse Terada-ya.

7. Free walk around Okazaki in Kyoto

Nanzen-ji Temple and many other famous temples, Heian Jingu, the art museum, the zoo, etc. are around Okazaki nearby the convention venue(The Westin Miyako Kyoto).You can fully enjoy the history and the culture of Kyoto in this area.
